Temperature Requirements and Ratings

Standard Temperature Range

The standard operating temperature range for touchmonitors and touchcomputers is 0°C to 35°C. This satisfies most requirements for indoor applications such as retail, office, light industrial, hospitality, and gaming. The standard temperature range is typical for most commercial display products and is the most cost-effective solution.

Extended Temperature Range

The extended operating temperature range, 0°C to 50°C, is commonly required for heavy industrial or outdoor applications. Touchmonitors and touchcomputers designed to operate in an extended temperature range are more expensive, since many of the electronic components must be upgraded to withstand higher temperatures, and additional environmental testing and engineering activities may be required during the custom-solution design phase.
